Quadrant Homes offers the Space Needle for socks as it spearheads Seattle's Union Gospel Mission sock drive
November 2010
Bellevue, WA (November 3, 2010) – Quadrant Homes is offering a free visit to the Space Needle for your socks.
Between now and December 3, Quadrant Homes invites community members to bring new pairs of socks to any Quadrant Community Sales Office or Showroom. In gratitude, donors will receive four free passes to the Space Needle. The offer is in an effort to exceed Quadrant Homes’ donation last year of 3,700 pairs of socks for Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission in its annual Sock Drive for the Homeless this holiday season.
“In today’s environment, every donation counts, no matter how small,” said Quadrant Homes president Ken Krivanec. “At Quadrant Homes, it’s a fundamental piece of our company culture for us to give back to the community and help those who are less fortunate.”
In 2009, during one of the coldest winters on record, Quadrant Homes donated 3,700 pairs of socks to the Mission. This year the company’s goal is to beat last year’s total and collect at least 3,701 pairs of socks to donate to those in need.
“It was truly impressive how the Quadrant Homes community joined forces last year to make a significant contribution of much-needed warm clothes. We deeply appreciate their support for the homeless in the Seattle area,” said Jeff Lilley, president of Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission.
As Washington State’s largest single-family homebuilder, Quadrant Homes believes in responsibility not only to customers, but to the community as a whole. Their employees regularly support the community through grants, sponsorships and volunteer events.
