Grants Will Fund $25K toward Various Programs of Support for Quadrant Homes’ Communities
Bellevue, Wash. – June 25, 2010 – Quadrant Homes, Washington state’s largest single-family home builder and subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company, is seeking to fund programs serving Quadrant Homes’ communities in Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce, Kitsap and Thurston counties. Application deadline is August 1, 2010.
The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation will fund a total of $25K in multiple grants towards Quadrant Homes’ communities. The Foundation’s Quadrant Charitable Contributions Advisory Team is specifically seeking grant applications that support area food banks (individual grant applications should not exceed $1,500), and grants that support various programs that promote the well-being of active duty armed forces members, firefighters, or law enforcement staff, and veterans, who serve to protect our communities (individual grant applications should not exceed $7,500). Programs that focus on helping those who were wounded or fallen while in active duty will be given special consideration.
“We are proud to be able to give back to our Quadrant Homes communities and fund important programs to help these areas thrive,” said Peter Orser, President of Quadrant Homes.
Applications can be found at http://www.weyerhaeuser.com/Sustainability/Foundation/HowToApply under “Community and Statewide Grants.” Proposals should be electronically submitted no later than August 1, 2010. Grant awards are expected to be made mid to late Fall 2010.
