Cory and Danielle have had their sights set on the Snoqualmie Ridge for years. After visiting the area in 2008, they fell in love with neighborhood and visited often to look at homes. However, they didn’t think moving was really an option. They have very specific needs, including room for their two children and independent living space for Danielle’s parents. Yang He explained that Quadrant would work together with Danielle and Cory to create a floor plan based on their exact needs, and have the home built right there in Aster Creek. They were skeptical at first because of how dramatic the changes would need to be. The current design had a large living space in the basement, with only one bedroom and a small bathroom. What they needed for her parents was two bedrooms, a master bath, a utility room and kitchen. They submitted their request to Quadrant, but doubted the changes could be made within their budget, if they could even be made at all.
When the design team returned with a full drawing designed to their specifications – and at a price well below what Danielle and Cory had assumed – they were sold. In no time, they finalized the customization and started making selections at Quadrant’s new home showroom. Beyond the overhaul in the basement, they also made changes upstairs; a wall moved here, some wainscoting there, and the finished look that was right for them. From the cabinets in the kitchen to the color on the walls, Cory and Danielle’s home was made to order.

With the Built Your Way process, changing this was simple. The Quadrant design teamed worked with them to convert the dining room into a formal living room. They assumed they would have to do without a formal dining room, but the Quadrant team proposed a reworked floor-plan which moved the pantry into the kitchen, pushed the wall farther into the garage and eliminated the mud room to accommodate a spacious dining room. It was exactly what they wanted.
Even the little changes were made without a problem. They opted for a larger loft and smaller utility room, changed the location of the washer and dryer, and added features in the cabinets. Quadrant also provided all the upgrade estimates up front, helping them stay on budget. This means Sanjog and Dhriti will get the home they really want, and at the price they can afford, from the day they move in.
Beyond the custom features, having a home that’s built green was also important to them. As an environmental engineer, Dhriti takes sustainability very seriously. Fortunately, so does Quadrant Homes.
